Adding and Getting Value From Your Business Cards

Business cards are one of those first impression items that business people can't live without, and yet, don't want to spend too much money on. Think about it. Some of our own clients have become clients merely because of the first impression our business card gave them. It felt nice in their hand. It was different. It was memorable. They called us back or visited our Web site. We know because some have actually told us things like, " I didn't think I would need your services, but then when I did, I remembered your card and knew I kept it, so that's how I found you."

Your business cards and your entire business system for that matter (letterhead, envelopes, mailing labels, etc.) are projection devices for your company. Their quality (or lack of it) reflects on you in the eyes of your customers. Our advice: don't try to play cheap and cut corners. Your printed materials are not the items to do this with. Retain a good designer or design firm, use quality paper and always print something on the back of your cards. This real estate is rarely used and can become an effective "miniature billboard" for your services or your Web site address.
